1 lb. lean ground beef, browned
6 slices bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 yellow onion, diced
1 red pepper, diced
1 green pepper, diced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 14oz can fire roasted tomatoes, diced
1 8oz can tomato sauce
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 Tbsp. chili powder
2 tsp. paprika
2 tsp. cumin
1 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 tsp. sugar
½ tsp. salt
¼ tsp. pepper

In a large pot, slowly brown bacon. While the bacon is cooking, brown the ground beef and chop the veggies. Drain the bacon and add the veggies. Cook for about 10 minutes, then add the browned ground beef, all the spices, tomato sauce and fire roasted tomatoes. Mix well and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve over rice. Suggested toppings include Fritos, grated cheese, green onions, sour cream, etc.
